GRA Talks Factory at Pelican Rotoflex: A milestone for gravure printing
Renzmann part of the speaker panel
Talks Factory 2026
On February 13, 2025, an event took place at Pelican Rotoflex Pvt. Ltd. in Rajkot, India, that will go down in the history of the Global Rotogravure Association (GRA): the first GRA Talks Factory outside Europe – and at the same time the largest event of its kind to date, with almost 250 participants from the Indian printing industry.
A format with history – and a new dimension
The Talks Factory format has been a tried-and-tested tool for GRA for many years, enabling it to share knowledge, connect experts, and advance the gravure industry. However, the event at Pelican Rotoflex marked a new direction: GRA's globalization strategy is in full swing and underscores its claim to represent the entire international gravure community—far beyond Europe.
Two days full of knowledge, technology, and networking
The two-day program kicked off on the evening of February 12 with a networking dinner at the Quality Inn Patria Suites in Rajkot—an informal opportunity for participants from around the world to make initial contacts. The actual event day followed on February 13 at Pelican Rotoflex's Innovation Center:
Group discussions and networking: Industry dialogue on equal terms—with international experts, suppliers, and like-minded individuals.
- Tour of the factory and shop floor: A tour of one of the largest integrated manufacturing facilities in the industry—from CNC and VMC machining to final assembly.
- Live machine demonstrations: Experience a rotogravure printing press in operation firsthand—including job setup, pre-registration settings, register accuracy, and state-of-the-art automation.
- Technical expert presentations: International experts gave presentations on topics such as efficient and sustainable processes in the downstream sector and the trends that will shape flexible packaging in 2026 and beyond.
Our contribution to the speaker panel
We are particularly proud that our Sales Manager Michael Rüschenbeck was part of the illustrious speaker panel. In his presentation on "Efficient and sustainable working in downstream processes," he shared valuable insights with the approximately 250 participants. His remarks on combining productivity gains and environmental responsibility with the help of modern industrial washing machines and distillation plants met with great interest and sparked lively discussions—an impressive example of how knowledge exchange bears fruit on the international stage.
World-class technology and warm hospitality
Pelican Rotoflex impressed not only with its technical excellence, but also with a warmth that delighted all participants. After the presentations and machine demonstrations, guests were treated to a traditional Gujarati lunch—a culinary highlight that impressively demonstrated Indian hospitality.
Special thanks go to Mr. Bharat Bhai Shah, Yash Shrimanker, and Vasu Shrimanker of Pelican Rotoflex for their vision, hospitality, and commitment to making this extraordinary event possible. We would also like to thank Stefani Dhami, Secretary of the GRA, and the entire GRA team for their excellent organization.
Outlook: GRA on its way to becoming a global association
The GRA Talks Factory at Pelican Rotoflex is more than just a successful one-off event—it sends a clear signal that the Global Rotogravure Association thinks and acts globally. The exchange of knowledge, discussions about sustainability, efficiency, and innovation, and unique insights into state-of-the-art manufacturing processes have shown that the Talks Factory format also works extremely well on the international stage.
We look forward to many more Talks Factories around the globe—and to shaping the future of gravure printing together.
